First Aid For Feelings

10 September @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

At MWCLA, we believe that understanding and managing emotions is a vital life skill for everyone. First Aid For Feelings is a supportive and inclusive 10 week group program designed specifically for people with disabilities to explore their emotions, build emotional awareness, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation.

Through engaging activities, guided discussions, and a safe, respectful environment, participants will learn how to:

  • Recognize and name their feelings
  • Understand what emotions mean and how they affect us
  • Practice calming strategies and self-regulation techniques
  • Build confidence in expressing emotions in healthy ways

This program is all about empowerment, connection, and growth—helping individuals feel more in control of their emotional world and better equipped to navigate everyday life.

The program is facilitated by Jo Luxton, a qualified and passionate educator, with over 30 years’ experience creating accessible, supportive and empowering learning environments for people to thrive.   Together with our skilled support workers, Jo will guide you through this 10 week program.
