DESCRIPTION:At MWCLA\, we believe that understanding and managing emotions is a vital life skill for everyone. First Aid For Feelings is a supportive and inclusive 10 week group program designed specifically for people with disabilities to explore their emotions\, build emotional awareness\, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation. \nThrough engaging activities\, guided discussions\, and a safe\, respectful environment\, participants will learn how to: \n\nRecognize and name their feelings\nUnderstand what emotions mean and how they affect us\nPractice calming strategies and self-regulation techniques\nBuild confidence in expressing emotions in healthy ways\n\nThis program is all about empowerment\, connection\, and growth—helping individuals feel more in control of their emotional world and better equipped to navigate everyday life. \nThe program is facilitated by Jo Luxton\, a qualified and passionate educator\, with over 30 years’ experience creating accessible\, supportive and empowering learning environments for people to thrive.   Together with our skilled support workers\, Jo will guide you through this 10 week program. \nCost\nGroup support 1:2 ratio ($49.16 per hour plus Centre Capital Costs) \nRegistration\nRegistration is essential\, get started below.  Unregistered guests will not be able to attend. \nAfter registering\, we will be in contact to confirm your enrolment. \nRegister Your Interest

This 9 week program is facilitated by Jo Luxton\, a qualified and passionate educator\, with over 30 years’ experience creating accessible\, supportive and empowering learning environments for people to thrive.  SAS is an award-winning small group program that has been transforming lives around the world for over a decade—now it’s here to help your child thrive! \nThrough exciting spy-themed missions\, club meetings\, and home practice\, the program focuses on diversifying four key life skills: \n\nEmotion Recognition in themselves and others around them\nEmotion Regulation focus on anxiety and anger\nProblem Solving social-emotional situations\nSocial Skills for friendship\, teamwork and interacting with others\n\nStarting as SAS Cadets\, young people learn through games\, digital gadgets\, and secret codes to: \n\nDecode how they and others feel and act\nBuild their own formula for friendships\nCope with change\nSolve social and emotional problems\nRecognise and deal with bullying\n\nWith support from both facilitators and parents\, cadets graduate as confident “Secret Agents” equipped with lifelong tools for emotional resilience and social success. \nRegistration\nRegistration is essential\, get started below. \nAfter registering\, we will be in contact to confirm your enrolment. \nRegister Your Interest
